Jessica Cerutti, LCSW

Experience:

I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience in providing psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, and parents. I have a background in providing mental health services in a variety of settings, including community mental health centers, schools, and hospital-based settings. I have extensive experience providing therapy to individuals who have been impacted by trauma, abuse, and neglect. These experiences have informed my practice greatly, as I have a well-rounded understanding as to how trauma, internal discord, physical well-being, and community issues can impact mental health functioning.

In addition to my private practice, I am a Clinical Supervisor at Alma Family Services, a non-profit community mental health agency located in East Los Angeles.

Theoretical Orientation:

My approach includes the following depending on each client’s unique needs: emotion-focused, attachment-based, inter-subjective, psychodynamic, shame-sensitive, and trauma-focused. My approach also focuses on increasing self-reflection and vulnerability to promote personal growth.

Post Graduate Training:

DEFT (Dynamic Emotion Focused Therapy) completion of Levels 1, 2, and 3 through the DEFT Institute.
IFS (Internal Family Systems) completion of one-year Online Circle.
